New York State requires appropriate permits be obtained when serving alcohol at your event.

A few different options are available depending on what you choose.

  • Providing Alcohol Through a Caterer

When searching for a caterer, be sure to ask if they are licensed to serve alcohol. Most caterers offer a full service bar as an add-on to their catering packages.

We require all vendors supplying and/or serving alcohol to have liquor liability insurance.

  • Providing Alcohol Through a Mobile Bar

Most mobile bars offer a full service bar package. Typically, mobile bars require the client to purchase the alcohol and obtain a one-day alcohol permit either on your own or through them. The mobile bar is usually responsible for serving your guests (providing cups, icing down, mixing, garnishing, etc.) and monitoring consumption. Be sure to go over the specifics of what your chosen mobile bar provides.

We require all vendors supplying and/or serving alcohol to have liquor liability insurance.

  • Providing Alcohol Independently

If you would like to provide the alcohol beverages yourself, you must obtain a one-day alcohol event permit through the NYS Liquor Authority. The permit costs $36 and is valid for 24 hours. Additionally, you must provide bartenders to serve your guests.

Please note the alcohol must be purchased from a licensed brewer, winery or wholesaler.

Additional Insurance in the amount of $2,000,000.00 (versus $1,000,000) combined single limit for bodily injury and property damage is required on your weekend insurance policy if you will provide the alcoholic beverages yourself, without a vendor
